About me

I am a fully qualified humanistic integrative counsellor. I studied at Keele University where I gained the Certificate in Counselling in 1997 and the Graduate Diploma in Counselling in 1999.

As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work to the standards of good practice set down in their Ethical Framework. 

I am actively committed to continuing my professional and personal development and, since qualifying, have undergone extensive further training on various therapeutic approaches and specialist areas including:

As well as working in private practice I have also gained wide experience counselling adults and young people at the following organisations:

  • Bereavement Care, Hanley, Staffordshire
  • Women’s Counselling Service, Harrogate

I have also been employed as Lecturer in Counselling at Stoke-on-Trent College, Staffordshire where I taught and evaluated student counsellors.
